From Montreal to Seoul: Myles Lloyd is Taking the R&B Crown Global

Montreal’s own R&B visionary, Myles Lloyd, is officially taking his cinematic sound across the Great White North. Riding the high of his acclaimed 2025 album I’m Still Thinking, Lloyd has announced he’ll be supporting Korean-Canadian icon JUNNY on all Canadian tour dates this winter. Starting with a hometown kick-off at Le National on February 16, the tour will weave through Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre before heading west to Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre and concluding at Calgary’s Palace Theatre on March 5. Tickets are already on sale, and given the cross-continental star power on display, this run is shaping up to be one of the season’s most sought-after invites.

The tour isn’t the only bridge Lloyd is building between the alternative R&B world and the K-pop stratosphere. On February 20, he is set to drop “DMC,” a high-octane reimagining of his viral hit “Drive Me Crazy.” This new iteration is a true global collaboration, featuring a powerhouse lineup of Gemini, Karencici, and JUNNY. The original track became an unexpected phenomenon in South Korea, amassing over 25 million streams, earning a prestigious co-sign from ENHYPEN, and even landing on South Korea’s Top 200 chart. “DMC” feels like a natural evolution for Lloyd, leaning into the international momentum that has already made him a household name among global tastemakers.

It’s been a whirlwind ascent for the artist, who has successfully transitioned from a buzzy underground name to a festival fixture on stages like Lollapalooza Berlin and Sol Blume. Known for a signature blend of pop-forward melodies, cinematic production, and a raw emotional vulnerability that cuts deep, Lloyd has earned significant editorial praise from the likes of Complex, PAPER, Teen Vogue, and Wonderland. As he prepares to hit the road and release what is sure to be another streaming giant, Myles Lloyd continues to cement his status as one of the most exciting and boundary-pushing artists in modern R&B.
