For years, UK-based writer and producer Dave has been a powerful, yet unseen, force in the music industry, crafting songs for various unsigned artists. Now, after five years dedicated to sharpening his pen for others, Dave is stepping into the spotlight to introduce his own distinct musical vision, starting with the compelling new single, “Arizona.”
“Arizona” is the first taste of an exciting cross-continental collaboration. Dave teamed up with talented LA-based session singers Charles Lukky—who provides the stellar vocals on this debut track—and Clara Alison. This initial release is just the beginning, with many more songs co-produced by this transatlantic team already in the pipeline.
Dave is much more than a solo writer; he is the founding member of the Fownto Crew, a collective of skilled songwriters based in the north of the UK. Together, the Crew has built an extensive library of music that spans nearly every genre, proving their versatility and readiness for the global stage.
Dave’s ultimate goal is clear: he is actively seeking established artists to hear his music, hoping to place his meticulously crafted songs with signed singers. The Fownto Crew is open for business and collaboration. If you’re an artist or industry professional interested in their expansive catalog, you can connect with them by sending an email to Fownto-crew@outlook.com or by visiting their website at www.fownto-crew.com.
A Session Musician’s Credentials
Dave’s musical pedigree runs deep. Known professionally as Dave Wood, he is also a seasoned session drummer whose credits include touring with UK goth legends Ghost Dance. He was instrumental in the songwriting process for Ghost Dance’s album, The Silent Shout, showcasing his ability to pivot between different musical worlds.
This year, his prolific output continues through the Fownto Crew’s work with unsigned artist Lora Lox. To date, they have written and recorded approximately 25 songs with Lox, a testament to their relentless work ethic. On November 21st, they released her second single, “Temptress,” a mainstream pop/soul track that they hope will push Lora Lox into the notice of major labels.
With “Arizona,” Dave is not just releasing a single; he is signaling a major transition from a respected behind-the-scenes architect to a formidable artist in his own right, backed by a powerful collective and a lifetime of musical experience.
