Written after an impromptu moment of inspiration with a friend’s guitar, the track channels a love for both ‘80s icons such as Men At Work and Michael Jackson (with the song’s guitar solo notably inspired by “Beat It”) and the current wave of artists like Alfie Templeman and Tame Impala.
Recorded with producer Steven Griffiths (known for his work with The Editors and Mothica) at Dead Door Studios, the track’s central theme is the idea of duality—the hidden side of a person that only becomes visible once you’ve gotten close enough. This concept of the Gemini twin nature is delivered through a seamless blend of nostalgic textures and forward-thinking production, perfectly capturing Wilson’s “modern vintage” aesthetic.
