🌍 Detroit Grit Meets Riviera Air: Jairic Drops “Young, Old, Short & Tall” Ahead of ‘n=40’ EP

From the unforgiving streets of Detroit to the opulent calm of the French Riviera, artist Jairic has built a career on creative autonomy and genre-defying sonic ambition. Today, he solidifies his global status with the release of his new single, “Young, Old, Short & Tall,” on November 14th, alongside a striking, cinematic visual via Rich Air Music.

This high-octane track is the final explosive preview before the arrival of his eagerly anticipated EP, $n = 40$, slated for release on December 5th.

The Architect of Autonomy

Jairic is not just a rapper, but a true powerhouse: a musician, producer, and storyteller who executes every aspect of his vision. Every single release—from the writing and performance to the self-production—is a testament to his fiercely independent creative process. This commitment has helped him amass nearly 2 million streams across platforms and earn support from esteemed tastemakers including Wonderland Magazine, NOTION, CLASH Magazine, and EARMILK, as well as rotation on NPR Music radio.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and now based in Cannes, France, Jairic’s sound is a rich tapestry woven from diverse influences: the lyrical density of Nas and Wu-Tang Clan, the raw energy of Detroit’s underground, the soul of classic funk, the ambition of ’60s rock, and the atmospheric depth of film scores.

Fans of modern hip-hop titans like 21 Savage, Yung Thug, Playboi Carti, and A$AP Mob will find a new favorite in Jairic, whose work blends lyrical weight with genre-defying sonic swagger.

“Young, Old, Short & Tall”: A Builder’s Anthem

The new single, “Young, Old, Short & Tall,” immediately hooks the listener with a catchy vocal refrain that quickly gives way to Jairic’s signature high-octane delivery. His impeccable flow rides over an energetic instrumental that is crisp, yet gets progressively more distorted as the track unfolds—a sonic nod to the chaos bubbling beneath the polished surface. The song’s production bristles with an undeniable swagger and finesse.

The accompanying video, directed by Bastien Leblanc, is a visual manifesto of Jairic’s artistic duality. The clip features the artist dancing and delivering clever quips in a starkly luxurious, extravagant mansion. This dramatic performance powerfully juxtaposes the track’s raw, gritty essence with a backdrop of modern affluence, embodying the collision of the Detroit underground and the high-end European scenes he now inhabits.

$n = 40$: The Next Chapter

“Young, Old, Short & Tall” is the closing argument for a powerful string of singles leading into the $n=40$ EP. Jairic has already proven his mettle on exclusive stages across the globe, including high-impact performances at Château Les Alouettes in Cannes and Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, and a featured live appearance at the Paris premiere of the short film Azur. His cinematic visuals and uncompromising independence have marked him as a rising force at the intersection of music, film, and fashion.

The message behind the music is clear and deeply motivational. As Jairic shared:

“There are so many beautiful people in the world—and then there’s a ton of hate and doubt. Be strong. Keep forging and let the fire burn inside. There are a thousand reasons to stop—forget them.”

With this final single out and the EP dropping soon, Jairic’s self-made empire is ready to expand, bringing his powerful, self-defined sound to a global audience.
