The Return to Parc Jean-Drapeau
Montréal is officially preparing to reclaim its title as the epicenter of North American live music. From July 31 to August 2, 2026, the OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival returns to the stunning Parc Jean-Drapeau for its 19th edition. Presented by Bell in collaboration with Coors Light, the festival promises three days of genre-defining performances set against the iconic backdrop of the city’s skyline and the Saint Lawrence River. This year’s reveal is particularly ambitious, unveiling all 87 artists in one massive drop that bridges the gap between global superstardom and the most exciting underground movements currently shaping the cultural pulse.
The weekend kicks off with a high-octane opening night on Friday, July 31, headlined by the Grammy Award–winning duo Twenty One Pilots. Making their first appearance at the festival since 2015, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are set to transform the park into a massive singalong with staples like “Stressed Out” and “Heathens.” Their return marks a decade of evolution for the band, and their reputation for high-impact, acrobatic stage presence makes them the perfect choice to set the pace for a weekend that celebrates both nostalgia and the cutting edge.
On Saturday, August 1, the spotlight shifts to Calgary’s own global pop sensation, Tate McRae. This performance is a major coup for the festival, as it marks her OSHEAGA debut and her only Canadian festival appearance of 2026. Fresh off a sold-out run and armed with chart-topping anthems like “greedy” and “exes,” McRae’s presence underscores the festival’s commitment to spotlighting Canadian talent on a world-class stage. Following her on Sunday, August 2, is the return of alt-pop visionary Lorde, who will close out the weekend. This being her third OSHEAGA appearance, Lorde brings a deep catalog of dream-pop and indie-electropop anthems—from “Royals” to “Solar Power”—that are practically designed for a unifying, late-summer finale under the stars.

Beyond the headliners, the 2026 lineup is a masterclass in diverse curation. Indie-rock fans can look forward to sets by Turnstile, fresh off their recent Grammy wins, alongside the modern rock favorites The Neighbourhood and the breakout energy of Geese. For those seeking electronic and global sounds, the return of Major Lazer—on their first tour since 2019—and the long-awaited Montréal debut of Empire of the Sun are sure to be highlights. Hip-hop is equally well-represented by the melodic trap heavyweights like Gunna and the lyrical prowess of JID, ensuring that every corner of the park hums with a different frequency.
A core pillar of OSHEAGA remains its dedication to homegrown talent, and 2026 is no exception with 26 Canadian artists on the bill, including 14 from Québec. Highlights include the viral resurgence of indie icons Wolf Parade, the electronic sophistication of Bob Moses, and the vibrant energy of Mother Mother. By integrating local acts like Virginie B and Vandelux alongside international giants, OSHEAGA continues to act as both a global destination and a proud celebration of Canada’s creative strength.
As always, the festival experience extends beyond the music. With high-quality food, curated on-site activations from sponsors like Birkenstock and Monster Energy, and a commitment to social responsibility—donating $1 from every ticket to the evenko foundation to provide instruments for schools—OSHEAGA remains a holistic cultural event. With the last three years selling out in record time, fans are encouraged to move quickly when 3-day tickets go on sale Friday, February 27 at 10:00 am ET. It’s more than just a lineup; it’s a moment in time where urban energy and natural beauty collide for one unforgettable weekend.
