In the neon-soaked landscape of Nashville, where every street corner hums with the ghosts of country legends, Caroline Romano is carving out a space that is entirely her own. The Mississippi-born, Nashville-based alt-pop phenom has officially returned with her latest EP, It Took Me Falling, a six-track odyssey that proves sometimes you have to lose your footing to find your soul.

Following the momentum of 2022’s Oddities and Prodigies and the critical acclaim of last year’s How The Good Girls Die, Romano’s trajectory has been nothing short of meteoric. But with this new project, she isn’t just climbing—she’s leaning into the descent.

The Wisdom of the Crash

It Took Me Falling is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a manifesto on the necessity of pain. Featuring the jagged, high-energy singles “Cruel and Unusual Punishment” and “Up the Stairs,” alongside the vulnerable “Unsteady,” the EP strikes a delicate balance between fiery alt-rock anthems and the misty-eyed introspection that has become Romano’s signature.

“It takes falling to land where you’re supposed to, and this EP was my process of coming to that realization myself,” Romano shares.

For anyone who has ever felt like they were spinning their wheels, Romano offers a refreshing perspective: the search for love, a dream, or an identity often requires a little wreckage before the beauty emerges. It’s an answer to the “why” behind our hardest trials.

Romano’s versatility is her greatest weapon. She can pivot from a whisper to a roar within a single verse, a skill that has earned her praise from tastemakers like Ones To Watch and EUPHORIA. Since her debut, she has evolved from a rising teen talent into a seasoned artist who isn’t afraid to move through uncertainty rather than trying to outrun it.

Her live shows have become the stuff of local legend, characterized by a raw, infectious energy that has seen her support acts like Smallpools and Grayscale.

Tonight: A Celebration at ‘The End’

To ring in this new era, Caroline is taking the stage tonight at Nashville’s iconic venue, The End. Joined by special guests Valories and Cam Becker, the night promises to be a visceral celebration of growth, grit, and the “beautiful chaos” of the human experience.

If you’re in Music City, this is the one room you’ll want to be in to witness an artist truly coming into her own.
